Payment terms — Stripe checkout

Your contract and the merchant

Before authorizing payment, the offer and checkout must identify the contracting legal entity, contact details, service or initiative, total, currency, taxes, payment schedule and applicable terms. microscopIA is a brand; the identified merchant is responsible for the service.

Stripe processes payments and does not become the clinical, educational or research provider. Ask finance@microscopiatech.com if any required information is missing.

Mandatory law takes priority, followed by your accepted specific agreement and service terms, then these payment and general terms. Ambiguities must not remove consumer protections. A payment does not replace research agreements, clinical consent or regulatory eligibility.

Authorization and payment confirmation

Use a payment method you are authorized to use. Review the final total and any issuer conversion or cross-border charges before confirming. Do not submit card numbers, security codes or identity documents through Global chat or ordinary email.

Payment details are handled by the payment provider under its applicable privacy terms.

An acceptance record, pending authorization or redirect is not a settled payment or confirmed booking. Retain the processor receipt and order reference. Duplicate payments do not create duplicate service entitlements; contact finance for reconciliation.

If a service cannot be accepted, we explain the appropriate release or refund of collected funds.

Subscriptions and installments

Recurring charges apply only when you explicitly choose an offer showing the amount or calculation, billing interval, start date, renewal conditions and cancellation route. An installment schedule is different from an automatically renewing membership.

No undisclosed future amount or plan upgrade is authorized by this page.

Cancel future renewals through the management link or account where available, or email finance before the next renewal. Keep confirmation; contact us if cancellation fails. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period unless immediate termination or a statutory remedy applies.

Price changes are prospective, notified before renewal and require consent where required; you may decline renewal.

Delivery and service-specific conditions

Individual simulations follow /terms/standardized-patient; group activities /terms/workshops-activities; courses /terms/course-of-the-season; memberships and projects /terms/memberships and /terms/join-a-project. Mental health follows /terms/mental-health and separate clinical consent. Contributions follow /terms/support, including the selected initiative and restrictions.

Research or innovation milestones follow the signed statement of work.

No charge purchases authorship, a journal decision, clinical priority, guaranteed treatment outcomes or guaranteed commercial returns. A discount applies only within its disclosed eligibility, dates, service scope and combination rules.

Cancellation, refunds and disputed charges

There is no blanket non-refundable rule. Report errors, unauthorized or duplicate charges, non-delivery and refund requests with reference, date, amount and requested remedy to finance@microscopiatech.com. Do not send full payment credentials. Applicable withdrawal, payment reversal, chargeback and consumer rights remain available; contacting us does not pause statutory or issuer deadlines.

Provider cancellation or material failure requires an appropriate remedy, including refund of undelivered services where applicable. Approved refunds ordinarily use the original payment method; bank processing times vary. Any lawful deduction must be explained and cannot override a required full refund.

Disputing a payment does not authorize destruction of research contributions or clinical records.

Privacy, records and complaints

We retain transaction references and the minimum administrative records needed for accounting, service delivery, disputes and legal obligations, under the applicable privacy notice. Clinical records are separate. Terms acceptance records identify the service, version and time; a declared email alone is not verified identity.

Marketing requires a separate lawful basis.

Contact contact@microscopiatech.com for service complaints and finance@microscopiatech.com for payment matters. Mandatory rights, competent authorities and non-excludable liability remain protected. No compulsory foreign forum or waiver of negligence is imposed here. Material amendments apply prospectively with renewed agreement where required.
