ONE-TIME CONTRIBUTION

Choose where you want to make a difference.

Contribution destination

On Stripe select mental health, ROP, health economics, fellowships, community kitchens, pediatric prostheses or another available initiative.

Set your amount on Stripe and review the recipient, currency and total. This link is for a single contribution.

Acceptance records this service, version, declared email and date. It does not verify identity, create a payment obligation or replace a service-specific signed offer. Check the full document’s available languages and request clarification before accepting if needed.

Keep your receipt. Returning to Global does not confirm a payment. Questions: finance@microscopiatech.com

BEFORE YOU GIVE

Clarity about your contribution.

  • The ICU Observatory has a dedicated link; other initiatives share a link with an initiative selector.
  • Contributions are voluntary and separate from memberships or services.
  • No tax deductibility is promised. Request documentation required in your jurisdiction before paying.
  • Operational and financial reporting protects privacy. Specific schedules and reporting are agreed for restricted contributions.
  • Public acknowledgement of your name or organization requires permission and does not imply commercial endorsement.

FUND THE WORK THAT MAKES EVIDENCE POSSIBLE

Choose the change you want to support.

Research needs people, time and resources before it can help others. Support the operations or publication of an existing microscopIA project, or explore one of these planned initiatives.

01

Barranquilla · Children and adolescents

Mental health after displacement

Help make the mental-health needs of Venezuelan young people visible, so future support can respond to evidence.

Scope and timeline agreed before fundingUp to 3 funding partners

Child psychologists will assess depression, anxiety and other mental-health conditions among Venezuelan children and adolescents who migrated within the last two years and live in Barranquilla, comparing findings with Colombian peers. Recruitment is planned through primary and secondary schools.

Your support funds

Psychologist salaries, approved assessments, school coordination, research operations and publication.

Milestones and participant protections

School and institutional agreements, ethics approval, guardian consent and age-appropriate assent are required. Participation is voluntary and independent of schooling or migration status. Distress, safeguarding and referral procedures must be operational before recruitment. Donors never receive identifiable results.

Colombia · Pediatric lower-limb prostheses

A more accessible step forward

Support the engineering behind a future program of free prostheses for children facing rural access barriers or injuries from antipersonnel mines.

Scope and timeline agreed before fundingUp to 10 funding partners

Biomedical engineers specializing in biomechanics will develop low-cost lower-limb prototypes for children and adolescents. Human evaluation in Colombia is provisionally planned for January–February 2027, only after technical validation and all required approvals. The long-term ambition includes low-income countries and Colombian conflict-affected regions.

Your support funds

Engineering time, materials, prototype production, bench testing and approved validation preparation.

Milestones and participant protections

A prototype is not an approved medical device. Pediatric trials require ethics, regulatory and institutional approvals, risk assessment, consent, assent and appropriate follow-up. Funding earns acknowledgement, not inventorship. Inventors are named only for actual inventive contributions; ownership and assignments require written IP agreements.

03

Retinopathy of prematurity · Clinical research

Independent evidence for premature infants

Help fund a pharmaceutical-independent ketorolac–nepafenac clinical trial for retinopathy of prematurity.

Scope and timeline agreed before fundingFunding goal: USD 50,000

The protocol and registration are in preparation. This proposed trial is separate from the existing observational manuscript under revision at BMC Pediatrics; that manuscript is not proof of authorization or effectiveness for this trial.

Your support funds

Study medication and trial logistics within an approved, documented budget.

Milestones and participant protections

No recruitment or intervention before required ethics and regulatory permissions and prospective registration. The protocol must define eligibility, risk management, safety monitoring, guardian consent, stopping rules and care for research-related harm. Funding cannot influence analysis, findings or publication.

A contribution with clear responsibilities.

  1. Choose a project and ask for its scope, budget, readiness and reporting schedule. Listed partner limits are planned capacity, not a live count of remaining places.
  2. Complete the donor disclosure and agree the designated use in writing. microscopIA reviews independence and any relationships before accepting restricted funding.
  3. Receive a confirmed payment route and retain your receipt. A general checkout payment does not automatically reserve one of these projects or establish additional restrictions.

Recognition without scientific influence.

Confirmed support above USD 2,000 for an agreed project qualifies for acknowledgement of the individual, family or organization in the resulting manuscript, with permission and subject to journal policy and independence review. There is no guarantee that a manuscript or patent will result. Financial support never buys authorship, inventorship, patent ownership, favorable findings or access to participants.

Unused funds are reported. A transfer to another microscopIA initiative requires your specific advance authorization in the funding agreement or a later agreement; silence is not consent. Otherwise we agree an appropriate lawful refund or alternative. microscopIA intends to retain economic rights in prosthesis IP through lawful written agreements with the actual inventors.

Questions before you decide

Does my contribution renew automatically?

Both published links are for a single contribution. Email philanthropy@microscopiatech.com to agree separate recurring arrangements.

Can I specify a restricted use?

Obtain written acceptance of restrictions and reporting before paying. A payment message does not replace an agreement.

What if the project cannot proceed?

Agreed restrictions and lawful refund or alternative-allocation options will be reviewed. Reallocation is not automatic.

Does giving confer membership or authorship?

No. Professional membership has a separate admission process and authorship depends on verified scientific contributions.

How do I correct a charge or request a receipt?

Email finance@microscopiatech.com with the payment reference. Never send full card details or clinical information.
