MinCiencias · Colombia

A research identity with a traceable record.

microscopIA reports recognition of its research group through MinCiencias Call 894 of 2021, Colombia’s national research-group recognition and measurement process.

Two programmes show the scope of our work.

We connect a clinical problem with the methods needed to study it—and the decisions that evidence may inform.

CRITICAL CARE · ACCESS & HEALTH SYSTEMS

Where care exists. Who can reach it.

Critical-care capacity and geographic-accessibility research combines verified facility information, geospatial analysis and health-system interpretation. The global programme aims to extend this approach across regions.

Colombian access research has a public preprint. Regional expansion is a research agenda, not evidence of completed worldwide coverage.

RETINOPATHY OF PREMATURITY · CLINICAL & TECHNICAL RESEARCH

Protecting vision requires more than one discipline.

The ROP programme connects multicentre clinical investigation, economic evaluation, workforce and access mapping, and AI research. Its ambition is to inform feasible approaches to neonatal eye care.

Public study records distinguish clinical findings, economic analyses and access research. Preprints and work under review are identified separately from accepted journal articles.

From a meaningful question to an accountable project.

  1. Define

Agree the question, intended decision, responsible investigators and available inputs.

  2. Assess

Review scientific feasibility, data quality, institutional authority, ethics and resources.

  3. Execute

Confirm scope, team, contributions, milestones and budget before the agreed work begins.

  4. Evaluate & share

Interpret findings with the team, document limitations and pursue appropriate publication or implementation.

Clinicians and investigators supply complete, organized and authorized datasets or case timelines. Under the professional calls, microscopIA does not organize raw records or accept low-quality datasets. Journal acceptance remains an independent editorial decision.

Trust is built into the work.

Institutional permissions, ethical review where applicable, data responsibility, declared interests and contribution-based authorship guide each approved project. A collaborator’s external affiliation does not itself establish an institutional partnership.
