You bring the context
Clinical expertise, a relevant question, complete organized source material, local permissions and an active contribution to interpretation and review.
THE MICROSCOPIA COLLABORATIVE MODEL
microscopIA brings researchers, methods, data science and engineering into projects built around a meaningful health question. In an agreed joint investigation, our researchers contribute to the scientific work alongside the clinical or institutional team, from the question and methods to interpretation, reporting and agreed revisions.
Clinical expertise, a relevant question, complete organized source material, local permissions and an active contribution to interpretation and review.
An assigned team contributes the agreed methods, analysis, evidence appraisal, engineering or evaluation, with supervision and documented quality checks.
Named roles, a written scope, milestones, decision rights and final review connect the work to a defensible scientific output.
How we collaborate
Choose your role to see the appropriate route. A proposal starts a review; it does not automatically activate membership, approve a project or authorize data transfer.
Clinician or investigator
Lead with the clinical problem and research-ready material. Explore the case-report and original-research calls, or discuss a separate study. Those two calls accept qualified members and nonmembers at their published project rates; the AI-image call has its own professional-membership requirements.
Question, design, sample, complete organized data or case chronology, institution, permissions and available clinical supervision.
Confirm these elements before work, payment or sensitive-data access. Existing approved agreements keep their terms; the public website does not replace a signed scope.
Question, design, analysis or evaluation plan, reporting standards, deliverables and acceptance criteria.
Clinical and methodological leads, assigned contributors, supervision, review duties and escalation contact.
Organized inputs, source custody, permitted uses, ethics and consent requirements, secure access and retention.
Membership, project fees, third-party costs and any covered publication charges are separate items. Confirm milestones, currency, taxes and remedies.
Document actual contributions, authorship criteria, output affiliations, pre-existing rights, new IP and authorized dissemination.
Start date, dependencies, progress reviews, revisions, changes, pauses and responsible handover if the project stops.
Our critical-care and ROP programs illustrate questions spanning access, clinical outcomes and technology. Review each record’s contributors, source, limitations and publication status; preprints and ongoing studies are identified separately.
Where they meet the applicable contribution, drafting or critical-review, approval and accountability criteria. Agree and document roles early, using CRediT where relevant. Payment, supervision, data provision or affiliation alone is insufficient.
Yes: you can make a nonconfidential inquiry before joining. Each call, supervised project or institutional agreement defines its eligibility and costs. Check the specific route before paying.
No. Scientific approval, institutional authority, ethics and consent requirements, contracts and an approved secure channel are resolved before execution or transfer. Initial forms ask only for nonconfidential information.
