Medical languages and other booked services

These booking rules cover Medical Spanish, Medical English and other services offered through Book a Session. Your booking offer defines its specific purpose, instructor or professional, duration, format, prerequisites, deliverables, total, currency and cancellation conditions. The 60-minute educational package and its feedback commitment described below apply to that package, not automatically to every future service.

A clinical appointment additionally requires /terms/mental-health where relevant, professional eligibility and secure clinical consent. Research participation additionally requires /terms/join-a-project. Booking a service does not bypass those safeguards. If a specific service has different scheduling or cancellation terms, they must be clearly shown and expressly accepted before payment; mandatory rights prevail.

The session and your booking

The current published offer is a 60-minute integrated session at USD 15: 30 minutes of a simulated clinical encounter and communication feedback, followed by 30 minutes of case-based online assessment. The instructor plays a standardized patient; you practise as the health professional. The confirmation must identify the provider, instructor, date, time zone, language, format, total payable and any agreed discount before payment.

Scenario difficulty and feedback are adapted to the stated learning level. Group simulations and project participation are distinct products: their prices, duration and eligibility do not automatically apply to this individual booking. An association discount applies only to the services and dates included in a signed agreement.

Learning, feedback and assessment

Practice includes medical vocabulary, language accuracy, organization, empathy and patient-centered communication. Case questions may address mechanisms, differential diagnosis, findings, management and follow-up for educational discussion. USMLE-style describes a question format only; this is not an official USMLE examination and has no licensing, examination-credit or professional-certification effect.

The published offer includes an individualized written feedback report by email within 24 hours after the session. Use an accurate email address and contact the team if it does not arrive. If a deliverable is missing, request correction or an appropriate remedy. No proficiency level, examination score, admission, employment or clinical outcome is guaranteed.

Educational boundaries and participant safety

Sessions are not medical care, clinical supervision or individualized professional advice. Never use a simulation as the sole basis for treating a real patient. Use fictional or sufficiently de-identified cases; do not share patient names, images, identifiers or records. Your own professional scope, institutional duties and patient-safety obligations remain your responsibility.

Tell the instructor if a scenario causes distress; request a pause or an alternative without being pressured to disclose personal health information. Harassment, discrimination, threats and unauthorized recording are not permitted. Any safety-related interruption must be handled proportionately and does not automatically forfeit all payment. If an actual emergency occurs, contact local emergency services; an instructor is not a substitute emergency responder.

Rescheduling and cancellation

You may reschedule through your account up to 24 hours before the scheduled start, subject to availability. Use the secure Manage booking link or contact the team if it does not work. Check the time zone in your confirmation. No additional penalty or shortened deadline can be introduced after a booking is accepted.

Late cancellation, non-attendance or participant-side technical problems may mean the reserved session is treated as used only where this consequence was disclosed and accepted before payment and is lawful. Contact us about exceptional circumstances; there is no blanket waiver of statutory withdrawal or refund rights. If microscopIA or the instructor cancels or cannot deliver, you may choose an alternative session or a refund for the undelivered service.

Technology and interruptions

You need a stable connection, working camera and microphone and a quiet, private setting for Zoom and the assessment platform. The team must supply access instructions. If a material platform or instructor failure prevents delivery, document the interruption and arrange completion, replacement or an appropriate refund rather than automatically marking the session used. Do not drive or perform patient care during the simulation.

Optional recording and personal information

Recording requires separate prior consent from everyone recorded. Before agreeing, confirm the purpose, who can access it, delivery method, storage location, retention and deletion process. Declining recording does not prevent a non-recorded session. Authorized recordings are for the agreed educational use; publicity, onward sharing and AI training require a separate lawful basis. Where delivered by email, a protected access link is preferred to an unrestricted attachment.

Scheduling, payment, attendance, assessment and feedback information are used to deliver and administer the service. The applicable privacy notice must identify the responsible entity and processors, retention and rights-request route. Associations do not receive individual scores, recordings or health information merely because they negotiated a discount. Marketing permission is separate from service acceptance.

Materials, conduct and accessibility

You may use supplied learning materials and your feedback for personal learning within the stated licence. Do not redistribute case banks, resell sessions or misrepresent simulated performance as certification. You retain rights in your original contributions; these terms do not transfer them for unrelated commercial use. Request accessibility or language accommodations before booking so feasibility can be discussed. Any service for a minor requires appropriate guardian and safeguarding arrangements before confirmation.

Payments, complaints and remedies

Review currency, taxes and any conversion cost at checkout. Financial errors, duplicate charges and refund requests go to finance@microscopiatech.com with the booking reference. For teaching quality, access or privacy concerns, contact contact@microscopiatech.com without sending sensitive records. We seek a documented remedy within applicable legal deadlines. Provider identity and applicable jurisdiction must be disclosed in your offer; mandatory consumer rights and access to competent authorities remain intact.

The service is delivered with reasonable professional care. No clause excludes liability that law prohibits excluding, waives a remedy for non-delivery or negligent conduct, or treats an unchecked box as acceptance. A future version applies prospectively and material changes require renewed agreement.
