01

Professional research pathways and new call project fees

New case-report and original-research proposals use member project rates or standard nonmember rates (3×). Membership is a separate recurring subscription, not free project execution. No additional 30% discount stacks with these call rates.

Existing accepted benefits and signed agreements are preserved; no retrospective charges. Scientific approval, organized authorized inputs and written scope are required. Students & Young Professionals cannot lead these calls. The AI image collaboration retains its separate member-only eligibility and commercial terms.

Evidence reviews retain the included two-active-month allowance, subject to scientific approval. Case-report proposals remain eligible every two active months, original studies every three, with separate member project fees for new agreements. These are ordinary membership proposal windows, not guaranteed outputs.

The time-limited case/original calls accept proposals immediately without waiting for a completed window; new project fees still apply. Existing accepted benefits and signed agreements retain their agreed terms. Verify subscription continuity and any applicable taxes in writing before activation.

02

Directory and research-group recognition

Recognition in the microscopIA member directory within seven calendar days after membership activation. Affiliation with the microscopIA group registered with the Colombian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MinCiencias) is available only after three months of membership and completion of at least one project, subject to verified contributions, consent and registry requirements.

This does not confer an automatic government researcher classification.

03

Clinicians and Investigators: current benefit schedule

For the Clinicians and Investigators membership, original-study support becomes available per three consecutive active membership months, within an approved scope. Institutional participation certificates become available from month 3 after verifying active membership and documented contributions.

This certificate provision replaces the four-month certificate threshold for this plan; separate reference-letter eligibility remains unchanged.

One case report is included every three consecutive months, with up to five proposing authors and three microscopIA contributors. Every listed author must independently meet contribution, review, approval and accountability criteria. One systematic review with meta-analysis may be proposed per active month; principal-investigator and first-author roles require actual leadership and qualifying work.

Approved research groups receive resources and staff according to a documented plan, permissions, budget and delivery schedule. Inclusion does not mean unlimited staffing or guaranteed journal acceptance.

04

Students & Young Professionals and Clinicians & Investigators

Enroll in up to two supervised projects simultaneously, subject to eligibility and a manageable workload. A suitable assignment is guaranteed, not a place in two specific projects.

All learning and well-being benefits of Students & Young Professionals.

Propose a hosted research group with an approved structured plan, defined resources and a dedicated project team.

Propose one systematic review with meta-analysis, scoping review or narrative review every two consecutive active membership months and lead approved work as principal investigator; first authorship requires substantive leadership and qualifying authorship contributions.

Propose a case report every two active months, subject to scientific approval and member project fees. Existing accepted benefits remain protected.

Propose original research every three active months, subject to scientific approval and member project fees. Membership does not make new projects free.

Apply as a senior expert or author to governed research, AI and innovation projects, with significant contributions.

Expert preparation support for up to two academic-event abstracts per month, at no additional service fee.

30% off eligible microscopIA publication-support fees for external projects.

Institutional participation certificates are available from membership month 3, after verification of active membership and documented work. Reference letters remain discretionary and follow the separate continuity requirements.

Certificates follow the eligibility schedule for each plan. Professional reference-letter requests require four completed consecutive active months in good standing and verified contributions; issuance remains at the authorized referee’s discretion.

Benefit periods run from membership activation. Reviews and case reports become eligible per two completed consecutive active months; original research per three. Abstract support retains its separate monthly allowance. Accepted projects retain their written execution commitments; journal review is not a guaranteed delivery date.

Unrequested allowances do not automatically accumulate.

Before execution, agree scientific suitability, the Principal Investigator, team, data permissions, ethics requirements, scope, staffing, budget and milestones. Included evidence reviews retain their agreed coverage. New case reports and original studies have separate member project fees.

Approved manuscript publication fees follow the agreed publication pathway. Site, patient-care, laboratory, travel, device, license, conference and other third-party costs are included only if expressly budgeted. No unapproved charge is imposed.

Team size describes coordination capacity, not purchased author positions. Every author must meet applicable contribution, manuscript review, approval and accountability criteria. Do not exclude qualifying contributors to meet a numerical cap. Agree any additional coordination before work begins.

Scientific and editorial decisions remain independent of payment.

The external-project 30% discount applies to eligible microscopIA professional publication-support fees, not taxes or third-party costs. For external publication-support simulations, it applies as an additional 30% after the eligible 40% Americas adjustment (58% combined savings, not 70%).

This is the only automatic stacking exception; association, institutional and other offers remain subject to written agreement. Active Clinicians & Investigators membership and project eligibility must be verified before acceptance; selecting the benefit in a simulator does not verify eligibility.

A verified quotation confirms the applicable offer before acceptance.

If an accepted included benefit cannot be supplied, microscopIA must offer a dated alternative, extension, credit or refund assessment. Cancellation requires individual project handover review and does not erase earned authorship or factual records.

A documented on-time payment is not late because staff verification was delayed. References are professional, never financial guarantees or guaranteed visa outcomes.

05

Colombia differential membership · bank transfer

Available to Colombian citizens after identity and plan-eligibility verification: Students and Young Professionals, COP 100,000 per month; Clinicians, Investigators, and Experienced Professionals with more than 10 years of verifiable experience, COP 200,000 per month.

The corresponding regular plan benefits and limitations apply. Regular international prices remain USD 35 and USD 70 per month. These are separate payment routes; do not pay twice.

Transfer to Bancolombia savings account 113-393-092-66, account holder Jorge Mario Racedo Galvan (an individual, not an account named microscopIA SAS). This is the designated collection account for this route; microscopIA SAS remains the membership service provider.

Verify the account holder before sending funds. Finance must match the transfer to your membership and provide payment acknowledgment.

Send the receipt, full name, citizenship ID number and copy (first activation only), account email and selected plan through the Colombia membership activation form at global.microscopiatech.com/forms/colombia-membership. Include evidence of professional experience for the experienced plan.

Finance receives the receipt and first-activation identity document through this form. Exclude unrelated banking movements, passwords, card details and patient information.

Staff verify payment, identity and eligibility before activating access. The expected processing period is three Colombian business days after complete information is received, excluding weekends and Colombian public holidays. Project application deadlines remain in force; submit complete information at least three business days before the deadline.

Payment does not extend a deadline or reserve a place. Payment alone does not activate access. Finance confirms the activation date, one-month service period and next due date in writing; the first service period starts on activation.

If delayed, contact Finance for status or a remedy.

Renewal is by manual monthly transfer, without automatic debit. Staff send a reminder before the confirmed due date and reconcile each payment. Keep your confirmation and pay by the due date even if a reminder does not arrive.

A documented on-time payment is not late because staff verification is delayed. Disputed or unmatched payments must be reviewed before downgrade.

After verified nonpayment and notice, paid access is downgraded to the basic account, and eligibility for this differential rate ends. A future activation requires a new, explicit purchase at the then-current regular membership price; there is no automatic USD charge or retroactive price increase.

Existing completed-work records and earned authorship are preserved. Ongoing project duties and handover are reviewed individually.

You may decline renewal or request cancellation through Finance. Statutory withdrawal, refund and consumer remedies are not waived. Incorrect, duplicate or ineligible payments and unavailable services receive an individual remedy or refund review; no blanket forfeiture applies.

Identity and payment information is used for membership verification, reconciliation and legally required records under the privacy policy, with access limited to authorized staff.

06

Two memberships; open applications

Students & Young Professionals is USD 35 per month. Clinicians & Investigators is USD 70 per month for clinicians, investigators and experienced professionals. Only calls explicitly accepting external applicants allow participation without a paid subscription.

Project selection remains subject to suitability and the published requirements.

Colombian citizens who complete activation by October 31, 2026 may retain the applicable COP rate for 12 months, subject to timely payment. From November 1, new Colombian activations use the regular membership price.

Project-specific deadlines and status are shown in the Projects catalogue and are not set by these membership terms.

07

Students & Young Professionals benefits

Each active membership month includes at least one meaningful supervised research assignment, with training, named supervision and defined tasks. Students & Young Professionals members receive one suitable supervised assignment each active month and may participate in up to two active projects at a time, subject to workload, supervision and project fit.

If the preferred project cannot accept the member, microscopIA assigns an appropriate alternative, including a supervised review. The guarantee concerns an assignment, not a first-choice placement, completed paper, authorship or journal acceptance.

Both plans include up to five Standardized Patient sessions and up to three mental-health sessions per membership month, eligible course enrollment, unlimited eligible group activities and scheduled exam simulations. Advance booking, available places and service-specific eligibility apply.

Personal monthly session allowances are non-transferable and do not roll over. Mental-health care requires consent, clinical suitability and professional authorization at the participant’s actual location; membership alone never establishes eligibility. Free-care pathways for eligible low-income settings and adults aged 65 or older remain independent of paid membership.

Approved manuscript publication fees are covered by microscopIA within the agreed project budget. The team must provide an appropriate assignment during the applicable membership month and document a dated remedy if an included service cannot be supplied: an appropriate alternative, extension, credit or refund assessment.

A capacity restriction is not permission to retain payment indefinitely without delivering an included benefit.

08

Activation, billing and cancellation

Global presents the offer; membership activation, recurring payment and account management take place on microscopiatech.com. Before payment, confirm the exact plan, USD price, any taxes or currency conversion, included services, billing-period dates, renewal consent and cancellation method.

If the matching offer is absent, contact microscopIA rather than buying an older plan by inference. Applications for scientific admission do not require advance payment.

Cancel future renewal through your membership account or request assistance at contact@microscopiatech.com. Access already paid for continues through the accepted period, subject to lawful safety or integrity restrictions. Cancellation is not conditional on payment for an undefined future research period.

Mandatory consumer, refund, withdrawal and data rights are preserved.

09

Research continuity and scientific credit

Member-funded benefits require active membership in good standing. After cancellation or overdue payment, microscopIA reviews each project individually for continued authorized participation, a safe handover or replacement. Notify the participant of the decision and correction or review route.

Preserve documented contributions and an opportunity to satisfy remaining authorship criteria. No author may be removed solely for non-payment. External open-call participants follow their own accepted participation agreement.

Authorship requires substantial contribution, intellectual drafting or critical review, final approval and accountability. Funding, membership, a committee seat or general supervision alone is insufficient. Data ownership, intellectual property, institutional permissions, costs and economic participation are negotiated and recorded for each project before execution.

10

Benefits for both plans and external participation

Both plans include up to five standardized-patient sessions and three eligible mental-health sessions per membership month, plus unlimited eligible activities subject to available places and registration. Clinical services require territorial eligibility and separate clinical intake.

Only active members may join hosted research groups. External participants may apply only where the project accepts external applicants and places remain. They receive verified project certificates, not Network-member recognition or institutional reference letters.

11

Existing subscriptions and fair transition

Previously accepted Regular, Premium, Research Access, Research Plus, Research Elite or observatory subscription benefits remain protected for their contracted period. Publication-support commitments, approved discounts and unused paid entitlements are reconciled individually before any plan change.

No automatic migration, duplicate charge or retroactive withdrawal of accepted benefits is authorized by this page. Material changes require notice and an appropriate choice or remedy.

12

Career planning and project assessment

Each active membership month includes two 30-minute career-planning sessions and up to two 45-minute project assessments. Monthly allowances renew with the membership and unused sessions do not roll over. Sign in with your membership account to book and confirm available times and your monthly benefit balance.

Career advice does not guarantee employment, admission, funding or visa outcomes.

Prepare a brief progress report, deliverables, barriers and next milestones. The organizer shares the Zoom invitation with the relevant project team members. Do not submit identifiable patient information. Assessment does not replace scientific or ethics approvals.

13

Research preparation targets and accelerated pathways

After scientific approval and activation with complete authorized inputs, review/meta-analysis manuscripts are prepared within a target of three to four months; case reports and original investigations within up to eight weeks. Record the activation date and delivery milestones in the written scope.

Missing inputs or scope changes require a documented timetable adjustment. Journal review, acceptance and publication take additional independent time and are not included in manuscript-preparation targets.

Accelerated or preferential manuscript preparation requires feasibility review and a separate written agreement. The commercial simulator is a planning tool; an included membership service must be reconciled before any additional supplement is quoted.

No duplicate charge or accelerated editorial outcome is guaranteed.

14

Applicant responsibility for organized source material

For original investigations the clinician/investigator supplies complete, fully organized and documented datasets. microscopIA does not accept low-quality or unorganized datasets or organize/reconstruct them under these included or additional call pathways. For case reports the clinician supplies the fully organized medical-record chronology and structured clinical summary; raw charts are not accepted for microscopIA to organize or extract data.

Scientific acceptance requires usable quality, a credible question and appropriate permissions. Incomplete proposals may receive preliminary guidance but are not accepted for execution until these requirements are met.

15

Publication support, with a clear route

The ability to pay should not be what determines whether valuable scientific work can reach publication. We assess support within the programme’s conditions.

For approved projects developed within microscopIA, the organization may cover the agreed publication costs under the applicable programme conditions. Existing written commitments to cover approved charges remain in force.

As an experienced Clinicians & Investigators member, propose a systematic review or meta-analysis with the microscopIA network and request open-access publication-cost support when MORE THAN 30% of the qualifying authors have a verified active microscopIA affiliation.

3 of 10 is exactly 30% and does not qualify. 4 of 10 exceeds 30%. Counts are preliminary and subject to verification.

The threshold allows a support request; it does not automatically grant funding. Scientific review and written approval must confirm the journal, covered amount, exclusions and payment procedure before costs are incurred. Membership alone does not establish affiliation or authorship.

Affiliations must be genuine and authorship follows actual contributions. Journal acceptance is independent.

Publication-cost support is distinct from membership subscriptions, project fees and accelerated preparation. Clinical-call fees remain applicable unless a written agreement expressly changes them.

16

Students & Young Professionals — member-initiated reviews

Members may independently start systematic reviews or meta-analyses and request assessment for manuscript preparation and open-access publication costs. High-quality execution and scientific review are required. At least 50% of all genuine authors must be active microscopIA Network members; exactly 50% qualifies for assessment.

Membership is verified during assessment and before funding authorization.

Scientific support and funding are assessed separately. Written approval defines scope, covered costs, journal and payment process before expenses are incurred. Authorship follows actual contributions. No support, funding, acceptance or publication is guaranteed.

17

Review authorship, affiliations and correspondence

Report microscopIA Network members with active paid membership as a percentage of all genuine authors: active members ÷ total authors × 100. The 50% requirement uses the exact counts, not a rounded percentage.

List every author, scientific contributions and all actual affiliations: microscopIA department or group where applicable, plus external institutions, departments, cities and countries. Membership and institutional affiliation are verified separately.

For an approved collaboration, a qualifying microscopIA researcher retains the corresponding-author role, with real scientific contributions, accountability, all-author agreement and compliance with journal rules.

microscopIA assesses applicable open-access agreements through the corresponding author’s genuine, verifiable affiliations. The publisher and participating institution must confirm eligibility and coverage; no agreement or fee waiver is guaranteed.

18

Personal accounts, sharing and fraud prevention

Individual accounts, memberships, bookings and included benefits for services on microscopiatech.com and Global are personal and non-transferable unless an accepted written institutional or group agreement expressly permits named users. Do not share credentials, resell access, impersonate another person, let another person attend or complete an assessment in your name, or use another member’s allowances.

A third party may pay for the named beneficiary without becoming that beneficiary.

An authorized guardian, accessibility assistant or institutional administrator may help with permitted administration through an agreed arrangement. Assistance must not disguise who receives care, training or assessment. Using a shared household connection, travelling or using more than one personal device is not by itself proof of fraud.

Deliberate misrepresentation, credential misuse and unauthorized sharing may constitute a contractual breach and, where applicable law and evidence support it, fraud. microscopIA may restrict affected access while investigating a credible security concern.

Review is based on relevant evidence and proportionate verification under the Privacy Policy. Where safe and legally permitted, the person receives the reasons and an opportunity to explain or request review at contact@microscopiatech.com.

Report a compromised account promptly; a victim of account theft is not automatically treated as the offender.

Confirmed misuse may lead to correction, separate named accounts, suspension or termination of affected access under the accepted terms and applicable law. There is no automatic fine, blanket forfeiture of prepaid fees or cancellation of earned scientific credit.

Assess undelivered services, authorized work and statutory refund, cancellation and dispute rights individually; contact finance@microscopiatech.com for billing review. Material changes apply prospectively with required notice and acceptance; this clause does not retroactively amend an existing agreement.
